For the first time ever, incredible footage has been released of a Soyuz-ST launch, from the perspective of a rocket camera mounted on the side. The stunning video gives viewers a new perspective, and along with it, a front-row seat of the rocket from the launch pad, through Earth’s atmosphere and into space, flying with an astonishing view of Earth as the backdrop.

While the Soyuz-ST in this video isn’t identical to the Soyuz-FG rocket that launchesour clients to the International Space Station, it is very similar. This Soyuz-ST comes equipped with a number of upgrades from the manned version, specially adapted to launch from Kourou, French Guiana.
